An EgyptAir flight headed to Cairo from Paris late Wedesday which was reported as missing from radar has been confirmed to have crashed into the Mediterranean Sea halfway between Egypt and Greece, the airline reported on Twitter .
Aboard were 56 passengers -- including one child and two babies -- from more than a dozen nations and 10 crew members, it said.
The plane had disappeared from radar as it flew 2:26am distressed call made by the Pilot. A signal from a beacon was spotted.
